A&T to Operate Under Normal Conditions & Class Schedules Wednesday

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will operate Wednesday under normal conditions and with regular class schedules. Those driving to campus tomorrow should exercise special care and allow extra time for the commute. A Cold Weather Advisory from the National Weather Service begins at 3 a.m. and continues through 10 a.m. Wednesday for Guilford and surrounding counties. Experts forecast windchill as low as zero degrees in some areas. For additional forecast information, visit the National Weather Service website.

N.C. A&T Welcomes Johnson, Bank of America Leader on Loan

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University announces Bank of America leader Eboni Johnson has joined the university as a Leader on Loan. Bank of America’s Leader on Loan program is an innovative way for Bank of America to provide additional resources to local communities and further its commitment to responsible growth. Employees are loaned to nonprofits, between 12 and 18 months, with the bank covering the employee’s salary and benefits.

N.C. A&T Dean Receives Presidential Award for Excellence in STEM Mentoring

Clay Gloster Jr., Ph.D., dean of The Graduate College at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, is a recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM). The White House recently announced Gloster’s selection among 35 individual and organizational mentors to receive the nation’s highest award in this category.

N.C. A&T Jazz Ensemble Competes as Semi-Finalist in HBCU Jazz Combo Challenge

The North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Jazz Ensemble has been named one of four semi-finalists in the third annual HBCU Jazz Combo Challenge. This competition, hosted by the Monterey Jazz Festival in California, will determine which Historically Black College and University (HBCU) jazz combos will perform at the 68th Monterey Jazz Festival, set for Sept. 26-28, 2025.

N.C. A&T Returning to Normal Operations Monday

With weather conditions improving across the Piedmont Triad, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will return to normal operations Monday morning at 8 a.m., discontinuing Condition 1, which has been in effect since noon Friday.

The University Choir at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University has been nominated for the 2025 Best Choir Award at the third annual Goat NC Awards, presented by Families Against Senseless Killings (FASK). This award ceremony celebrates individuals and groups in the Greensboro community who are recognized as “The Greatest of All Time” and have excelled in their respective fields.
