Coble, Ph.D., swine specialist and assistant professor in the Department of Animal Science at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, is a part of the National Pork Board's new five-year effort focused on addressing consumer questions related to the pork industry’s We Care® Ethical Principles and strengthening consumers’ confidence in choosing pork for their plate.

North Carolina A&T has received a $752,632 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) for undergraduate food and agricultural sciences scholarships.

For more than a decade, Jenora Waterman, Ph.D., has led students and research at N.C. A&T in animal science, specifically functional genomics. This year, Waterman, an associate professor of functional genomics in the CAES, is N.C. A&T’s honoree for the UNC System’s Board of Governors (BOG) Award for Excellence in Teaching.
