Community leaders and volunteers from across North Carolina will convene Oct. 17 in Charlotte for the annual Grassroots Leadership Conference (GLC), a one-day event to discuss local issues and develop strategies for positive change.

Chancellor Harold L. Martin, Sr., who is in his 15th year as leader of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, will retire at the end of the 2023-24 school year, he announced this afternoon at a regularly scheduled Board of Trustees meeting.
