EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Jan. 21, 2025) – North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University announces Bank of America leader Eboni Johnson has joined the university as a Leader on Loan.
Bank of America’s Leader on Loan program is an innovative way for Bank of America to provide additional resources to local communities and further its commitment to responsible growth. Employees are loaned to nonprofits, between 12 and 18 months, with the bank covering the employee’s salary and benefits.
Johnson has begun her 18-month tenure as director of strategic workforce initiatives focused on transformative campus and external partnership engagement, non-STEM students and colleges as well as process enhancement and rebranding for the university’s Office of Career Services (OCS). She is partnering with OCS Director Nina O. Davis, Ed.D., and Vice Provost for Engagement and Outreach Rosalind Dale, Ed.D., to develop and implement strategies and solutions to expand opportunities for non-STEM students and enhance positioning and collaboration with all university stakeholders. N.C. A&T’s strategic goals are outlined in Preeminence 2030: North Carolina A&T Blueprint.
“I’m thrilled to join N.C. A&T State University as their director of strategic workforce initiatives during my Bank of America Leader on Loan appointment. Both organizations are committed to investing in the communities where we live and serve. It is exciting and feels like true synergy,” said Johnson. “In partnership with Drs. Davis and Dale, I’m focused on developing and implementing strategies to identify and secure career opportunities for non-STEM students and enhancing the university’s stakeholder engagement, as well as advancing the university’s strategic plan goals.”
Johnson joined Bank of America in 2020 to support and drive key human resources priorities for several organizations within the bank’s global technology space in addition to supporting large scale enterprise workforce efforts.
Johnson is passionate about community involvement focused on economic mobility and opportunity. She co-chairs Bank of America’s Black Professional Group chapter in the Triad and is a mentor for the local market’s employee development program. A Charlotte native, Johnson earned a B.S. in business administration with a focus in human resources management from North Carolina State University. She and her husband reside in Greensboro.
“Welcoming Ms. Johnson to N.C. A&T as a Bank of America Leader on Loan marks an exciting chapter in our partnership,” said Dale. “Our partnership with Bank of America will help us identify innovative strategies to enhance campus engagement and enrich services across several academic units. We are particularly excited about leveraging this relationship to expand opportunities for non-STEM majors, opening new pathways for their success.”
A&T and Bank of America have a longstanding partnership to drive educational advancement and economic opportunity, which includes a $1 million donation to A&T in 2020.
