N.C. A&T Adds EV Charging Stations to Campus

EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Feb. 12, 2025) – North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is proud to announce the installation of two electric vehicle (EV) charging stations housed at the campus Obermeyer Parking deck.

Aligning with the university’s commitment to sustainability and reducing greenhouse gas emissions on campus, EV charging stations are available for use by students, employees and visitors.

Additionally, A&T Parking Permit holders can enjoy a discounted $1/hour rate for the first four hours of connection time by emailing Parking and Transportation Services at

ncatpark@ncat.edu to receive a unique code.

Drivers can use the ChargePoint card or the ChargePoint Mobile App for convenient access to the stations. A detailed map of campus EV charging locations is available online.

General Charging Rates:

  • Permit Holders: $1/hour (first four hours) with a valid connection code; $2.50/hour without a connection code. Vehicles exceeding four hours will incur a $10/hour charge (prorated by the minute).
  • Non-Permit Holders: $2.50/hour for the first four hours; $10/hour for additional time (prorated by the minute).
