Guidance and Support for Legal, Risk, and Compliance Matters

 
The Division of Legal Affairs, Risk, and Compliance (DLARC) supports North Carolina A&T State University’s academic mission and strategic priorities by working collaboratively with university leaders, campus partners, and external stakeholders to promote accountability, responsible stewardship, and adherence to the university’s legal, ethical, and regulatory responsibilities. 

 
Office of Legal Affairs 
Provides legal guidance on matters affecting the university, including support for senior administrators, contracts, litigation management, and other institutional legal matters. 
 
Title IX Office 
Supports the University’s mission of maintaining an environment conducive to learning for all students and a professional workplace for all employees. The Title IX Office takes active measures to create or restore a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment for community members that is free from discrimination, discriminatory harassment, and sexual or interpersonal violence or misconduct. 
 
Office of Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance  
The Office of Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance assists the university in carrying out its academic mission with integrity and in accordance with the university’s legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities. 
 
Office of Internal Auditing (OIA) 
The OIA assists the University in accomplishing its objectives by independently utilizing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. 
 
Working with DLARC means partnering with a team that values service, collaboration, thoughtful problem-solving, and strategic decision-making. We strive to provide guidance and support that help the university navigate complex issues with fairness, accountability, and care.
