EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Oct. 10, 2024) – Aggie Shuttles at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will begin serving students at Campus East apartments on Monday, Oct. 14, as homecoming week begins.
“The student experience is vitally important and we are pleased to share tangible steps we are taking to improve it. We have heard from recent listening sessions the great pride in the things A&T does well, as well as the desire to improve customer service, parking, academic advising, IT infrastructure and other areas,” said Chancellor James R. Martin II, who has held 10 such listening sessions with campus and external constituents over the past four weeks.
Tangible steps N.C. A&T is taking to improve the student experience relative to parking and getting to class include:
- Shuttle service has been extended to Campus East apartments for the entirety of the academic year. Students may recall that service to Campus East was available when A&T leased a block of rooms at that complex last year. That service resumes on Monday, andstudents residing in Campus East can use the Passio GO! app to view the revised shuttle schedule and route updates.
- A new parking apphas been launched to help drivers find available parking spaces in real time, locate their cars if they forget where they’ve parked and facilitate user dialogue with Parking Services to share parking concerns. NCAT Park is a new mobile app created for the North Carolina A&T community by partners at ParkZen. It is available in the Apple App Store and on Google Play.
These improvements are only the first changes to student services across campus, with additional enhancements to follow this semester.
A&T’s Blue Shuttle provides transportation between campus and key off-campus apartments, such as Aggie Terrace, Collegiate Commons, Sebastian Village and University Landing. Unlike those complexes, Campus East is not owned or managed by A&T, but has been added to the Blue Shuttle route.
For more information on shuttle services or to download the Passio GO! app, visit the Parking and Transportation Services website.
