EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Sept. 30, 2024) – On Sept. 13, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s ELEMENTS convenience store welcomed "Butter’d," a skincare brand founded by Brittany Bygrave, a 2019 graduate of the Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics.
During the launch, Bygrave greeted students, faculty and staff while offering product samples and sharing the story behind her brand.
Butter’d was conceived from Bygrave’s personal experiences with skin conditions, which made her feel “invisible and unheard.” Determined to create a solution, she launched Butter’d in 2021 after initially starting the brand during her sophomore year at N.C. A&T under the name “Nae Butters.”
Now based in Washington, D.C., Bygraves’ products are available nationwide, including on Target.com. To honor her Aggie roots, she introduced the “Very Vanilla Collection” exclusively at ELEMENTS, celebrating her journey from dorm-room entrepreneur to national business owner.
“I started creating products in my dorm room, and N.C. A&T has supported me since day one,” said Bygrave. “Returning to campus to launch my product feels like a full-circle moment.”
“We are thrilled to have Butter’d in our convenience store,” said DeAan Pridgeon, ELEMENTS store manager. “Students often visit looking for skincare products, and Brittany’s brand brings a fresh, fun approach that we know our campus will love.”
Visit www.butterdbodycare.co. or @butterdbodycare on social media for more information about Butter’d, and stop by ELEMENTS in the university student center to support Bygrave and experience the exclusive “Very Vanilla Collection.”
