N.C. A&T Alumnus Jeter Selected for Prestigious Payne Graduate Fellowship

EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (April 4, 2024) – Warehouse Jazz and Supper Club will present North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s Aggie Rhythm-n-Blues Revue performances of “Rhythm: Sound in Motion” this weekend.
Continuing a 10-year tradition, performances are scheduled for Friday, April 5, and Saturday, April 6, at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 7, at 4 p.m. at the band center, 1120 E. Bessemer Ave., Greensboro.
Aggie Rhythm-n-Blues Revue consists of about 20 N.C. A&T students, who are members of the famed Blue and Gold Marching Machine, as well as alumni.
The Big Band-style jazz ensemble – led by Kenneth Ruff, Ed.D., A&T director of bands – includes trombone, saxophone, trumpet, keyboard, bass and lead guitar players and percussionists.
Audiences can expect to hear songs made popular by artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Rose Royce, Heatwave and Wham!, among others, during each three-hour performance.
“Rhythm: Sound in Motion” offers another opportunity to enjoy firsthand the talents of students and alumni who have contributed to the Blue and Gold Marching Machine’s legacy of success. Its most recent accolades include winning Division I Historically Black College or University Band of the Year for 2023 and performing by special invitation in the 135th Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California, on Jan. 1.
