Chief of Staff Hart Selected for TBJ’s Outstanding Women in Business Class of 2024

EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Nov. 27, 2023) – The North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Jazz Ensemble will host its fall concert, "The Evolution of the Big Band," on Saturday, Dec. 2 at Harrison Auditorium on the N.C. A&T campus.
The doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with the concert kicking off at 7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public, offering an opportunity for the community to experience the sounds of instrumental and vocal jazz.
The University Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Jonovan T. Cooper, DMA, teaching assistant professor and University Jazz Ensemble director, will showcase not only a large big band, but also smaller jazz combos, highlighting the depth and diversity of jazz expression.
“We are excited to share ‘The Evolution of the Big Band’ with our campus and surrounding community,” said Cooper. “This concert is a celebration of the ever-changing landscape of jazz, and we invite everyone to join us.”
The University Jazz Ensemble performs throughout the school year at various venues across the state and nation. This concert reflects the ensemble’s dedication to providing exceptional performances and connecting with a diverse audience.
