EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Dec. 16, 2022) – Intelligent.com has named North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University its Best Historically Black College or University (HBCU) in North Carolina for 2023.
N.C. A&T is the only HBCU named to the site’s list of the state’s top 18 colleges and universities for 2023.
Intelligent.com also ranked A&T at No. 18 on its list of the nation’s 49 Best Online MBA in Human Resources Programs for 2023.
A trusted resource for online degree rankings and higher education planning, Intellegent.com researched more than 3,000 colleges and universities for its 2023 online report, evaluating each on the strength of its academic quality, graduation rate, cost, return on investment, and student engagement.
“As an 1890 land-grant doctoral research university, A&T’s mission is to prepare students to advance the human condition and facilitate economic growth,” said Tonya Smith-Jackson, Ph.D., provost and executive vice chancellor of Academic Affairs. “Strategic planning and innovation have allowed us to increase program offerings and attract record-setting sponsored research funding to strengthen our culture of excellence.”
The university offers its MBA program, housed in the Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics, through four concentrations: accounting, human resource management, supply chain management and general MBA. The latter three are also offered through the university’s online MBA program.
“We are excited to add this recognition to the rankings successes we have achieved as a business college, and with our MBA program in particular,” said Eric Gladney, Ph.D., Deese College associate dean and MBA director. “We look forward to continuing this momentum as we work tirelessly to maximize MBA program quality and the tremendous opportunities we provide our graduates.”
The Deese College has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International since 1979, when it became the first university in the Piedmont-Triad area to earn the organization’s prestigious stamp of quality.
A&T is home to 32 master’s degree programs, including three new offerings: M.S. in health psychology, M.S. in cybersecurity and M.S. in data analysis.
