ATLANTA, GA (Dec. 21, 2019) – Armed with huge smiles, stuffed bears, foam fingers, footballs and North Carolina A&T State University pennants, four Aggie football players made their way to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta - Hughes Spalding Children’s Hospital to spread some holiday cheer and positive vibes.

“I love kids, I love giving back,” said Dontae Keys. “We wanted to show the kids and their families that their fight and their efforts are not going unnoticed.”

Hughes Spalding Hospital treats patients 0-18 years old. Friday, the players saw several patients ages 4-14. No matter their conditions, the children were receptive to the players and their words of encouragement.

“That was so awesome, I’m never going to forget this moment,” one patient said.

For another patient, it was about sharing the moment with others.

“My friends are never going to believe this,” she said.

For red shirt sophomore linebacker Kyin Howard, it was about much more.

“I feel like I don’t give back enough and I want to do more for others,” he said. “This actually motivates me because we see them being strong, happy and in a good mindset.”
