EAST GREENSBORO, NC (Sept. 26, 2019) – Beginning Oct. 3, the Theatre Arts Program at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will present Miller Lucky Jr.’s “Oedipus the Queen.”

Freely adapted from Sophocles’ “Oedipus Rex,” this age-old tale of the dangers of pride, power, politics and prophecy, follows Oedipus the Queen, ruler of Thebes.

Murder is the cause of the gods’ displeasure. Is Oedipus the killer? What follows is an unsettling investigation into the past, which begins at a three-way crossroad and ends in a moment of horrifying self-discovery. Gritty, glamorous and gut-wrenching, this queen rules the kingdom like no king ever could.
