N.C. A&T Career Fair Reaches Capacity; Employers Seek Various Positions and Disciplines
EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Sept. 4, 2019) – The Office of Career Services at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will host the 45th Annual Career Awareness Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., in Corbett Sports Center.
“Historically, the career fair at N.C. A&T has been a highly attended event by perspective employers and highly-qualified students,” said Cynthia Downing, executive director of Career Services and Experiential Learning. “Our students and alumni are prepared for 21st century, global professions and situations. From Amazon and Altria Client Services to Burt’s Bees and the National Security Agency, hiring managers know the level of excellence A&T students bring to the table and they are excited to recruit.”
Consistently among one of the largest fairs held by universities within North Carolina, significant interest precipitated full capacity for the third consecutive year with over 190 unique employers and 650 representatives from across the nation attending and soliciting internship, co-op and full-time opportunities.
During the fair, employers and students will have the opportunity to network, discuss career options and explore industry trends. Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend to bridge education and employment. Many employers will remain on campus for next day interviews.
