EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Sept. 4, 2024) – The Foundation for N.C. A&T State University, Inc. is excited to announce an unforgettable evening with Grammy-nominated R&B singer and songwriter Kem, joined by special guest Avery*Sunshine, for the Aggie Alumni Homecoming Concert on Friday, Oct. 18.
The Aggie Alumni Homecoming Concert will include a dinner for all ticket holders that begins at 7:15 p.m. The show time for the concert is 8:30 p.m. in the Guilford Ballroom at The Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Kem, a Detroit native, is known for his smooth, soulful voice and chart-topping hits like “Love Calls,” “I Can’t Stop Loving You,” and “Share My Life.” He has captivated audiences worldwide with his heartfelt ballads and sophisticated blend of R&B, jazz and soul. His timeless sound and powerful performances promise to create an electrifying atmosphere for alumni and R&B lovers.
Joining Kem for the Greatest Homecoming on the Earth is the multi-talented, singer, songwriter and pianist Avery*Sunshine, who brings a mix of gospel, jazz, and R&B to complement the evening. She is known for her hits, “Call My Name,” “Ugly Parts of Me,” and “Sweet Afternoon.”
For ticket sales, the Office of Alumni Relations will offer a donor priority purchase period on Thursday, Sept. 12, for donors in the Chancellor’s Circle who have contributed $2,500 or more in Fiscal Year 2024 (July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024).
Ticket sales will open to the general public Wednesday, Sept. 18, at noon ET on Eventbrite. The link can be found on the university’s homecoming page, www.ncat.edu/homecoming.
