Greensboro, N.C. (May 11, 2017) -- North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will hold spring 2017 commencement ceremonies beginning at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the Greensboro Coliseum, 1921 West Gate City Blvd.
This spring’s graduation includes a significant change, as the university is inaugurating a graduate student commencement separate from the main undergraduate ceremony in order to more richly celebrate the accomplishments of students earning their doctoral and master’s degrees. That ceremony begins at 1 p.m.
Of the 1,344 total students earning degrees this semester, 1,073 are receiving undergraduate degrees and 271 have earned master’s or doctoral degrees.
Boxer, author, television host and fitness expert Laila Ali will deliver the keynote address for the undergraduate ceremony, while retired corporate affairs and business executive and A&T alumna Hilda Pinnix-Ragland is slated to deliver the graduate ceremony address.
Both ceremonies will be streamed live at www.ncat.edu.
Media Credentials (required): If you would like to cover the event, contact Tonya Dixon at 336-256-0863 or tddixon1@ncat.edu by noon, Friday, May 12 for credential pickup prior to the ceremony (lanyards will not be supplied).
