GREENSBORO, N.C. (Oct. 9, 2024) – Grace Bullock, a senior public relations major at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, is bringing her entrepreneurial spirit to life once again with the launch of “The University Collection.”
After discovering her passion for business in December 2023 with the debut of her brand, DeEtte Market, Bullock returns this year with a new product line for Aggies just in time for the 98th edition of the Greatest Homecoming on Earth.
“The University Collection” features mulberry silk scarves, crafted in four unique designs created by Bullock that embody the spirit of N.C. A&T. Each design is limited to just 65 pieces.
Bullock plans to continue updating the collection with new, exclusive designs annually.
“I want this to be an annual launch that Aggies can look forward to around Homecoming each year,” she said. “Celebrating the festivities with something special and new each year is important to me, and I hope these scarves become a cherished tradition.”
Bullock’s journey into entrepreneurship is deeply personal, driven by her passion for art and design. However, “The University Collection” is more than just a creative venture; it’s also a way for Bullock to give back to the Aggie community. She is creating a fund from the proceeds of this special project that will go toward helping A&T juniors financially prepare for their senior year. The goal is to randomly select a junior each year and assist them in paying off their account balance with this fund.
“As an out-of-state student, I understand the financial burden that comes with it,” Bullock said. “I want to help lift that burden so students can focus on excelling in their studies. It’s important to me that students who might not have a 3.5 GPA or higher aren’t overlooked for financial assistance. My goal is to make a difference for those majoring in business or journalism and mass communication.”
“The University Collection” is available for presale on the DeEtte Market website and coincides with the return of the popular DeEtte Market nutcrackers.
