EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Sept. 28, 2024) – Members of the University Police Department at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University are en route to the University of North Carolina-Asheville to provide necessary assistance in the catastrophic aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
North Carolina A&T Emergency Management Director Travis Auman is among those taking supplies to the mountain campus after North Carolina Emergency Management approved UNCA’s mission request.
A&T University Police loaded a vehicle with portable batteries, generators and lighting, communication devices and electronics, first aid kits, N95 masks, nitrile gloves, hand sanitizers and disinfectants, along with cases of water and food to take to UNCA as it assesses damage and begins recovery efforts.
