Bluford Library Receives LSTA Grant to Lower Class Costs, Boost OER Use

EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Oct. 3, 2022) – In recognition of October as Cybersecurity Awareness Month, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will host Aggie Shred and Recycling Day on Saturday, Oct. 8.
The university’s Information Technology Services, Center of Excellence in Cybersecurity Research, Education and Outreach, and Waste Management Institute are partnering to offer this free event, which will take place at Lindsay and Laurel streets on the campus.
Between 9 a.m. and noon, N.C. A&T employees, students and members of the surrounding community can securely dispose of unwanted documents such as old homework assignments, medical records, tax returns, bank statements and canceled checks, as well as related electronic items such as phones, computer, tablets, hard drives, thumb drives, CDs, monitors, televisions, radios, printers, cables and wires, keyboard, laptops, batteries and vacuums in an environmentally friendly way.
A&T employees will be allowed to dispose of university documents, personal documents and personal electronics, but disposal of A&T electronics is prohibited.
Anyone disposing of documents is asked to remove paper from binders and remove any binder clips and paper clips.
Disposal of the items collected at this event is being handled by Shred-it and Powerhouse Recycling.
Upon arrival, look for the blue and gold balloons in parking lot No. 38, across from the University Police Department.
The event may end early if the shred truck and electronic recycling truck reach capacity.
