EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (August 5, 2020) – The SciTech Scholars second annual Summer Bridge program will kick off Aug. 6, 2020 and end Aug. 13, 2020. This program is intentionally designed to help the new cohort of SciTech Scholars acclimate to the STEM life in college.
Every new scholar was selected based on their performance and skillset to be a part of the SciTech Scholars program. They have been top performers in their respective communities and have exhibited great potential as the next wave of STEM innovators.
This year, the students will be participating in the program virtually. Several presenters will impart knowledge and challenge their minds on topics including metacognition, conflict resolution and effective strategies for learning physics. The new scholars will even be prompted with an innovation challenge to close out the program.
One of the main presenters, The Center of Creative Leadership, will focus on topics like “Identifying and Owning Your Talents,” “How We Learn: Resilience & High Achievement” and “Leadership Framework: Direction, Alignment, Commitment.”
Students will be introduced to campus resources as well as begin to blend into the thriving SciTech Scholar program overall.
