External Undergraduate Research Opportunities

 

The Center for Undergraduate Research is excited to announce the launch of our Summer 2026 Research Opportunities List. We have curated an extensive collection of fully funded research experiences for students across all academic disciplines that provide travel, housing, and a stipend

Application deadlines begin as early as late January, so we encourage interested students to begin exploring soon. Please review the four major opportunity lists below. Students seeking application support should contact Dr. Jared Webb (jnwebb@ncat.edu) or use the Bookings Link to schedule an appointment. 

  • Summer Research Early Identification Program 

  • First Year Research Experiences - for rising sophomores only 

  • Every Page Foundation: dedicated funding for women who are pursuing advanced training in the arts, music, and culture disciplines 
  • Scroll to the bottom of their page for a searchable list by discipline. Click “Apply Now” to access the application portal and program details. 

  • Curated list of 200+ programs, searchable by keywords and filterable by academic fields. 

  • Enter keywords in the green field and select “Run Search.” 

  • Searchable list by level of study, disciplinary categories, region, and/or state 

  • Searchable list by keywords, location, and research areas

The 2025 SNCURCS will be co-hosted by Elon University and Forsyth Tech Community College on November 15, 2025 at Elon University. 

Presenter Abstract and Registration Deadline: 11:59 P.M. October 3, 2025 (presenters will be contacted regarding their submission status by October 20, 2025)

Guest Attendee Registration Deadline: 11:59 P.M. October 31, 2025

Registration Fee: $30/person

Students should consult with their research mentor about financial support for their registration.
