Spring 2026 Commencement

Two trailblazing women – Nia Danielle Banks ’95, M.D., Ph.D., FACS, and Queen Latifah – will serve as Spring 2026 Commencement keynote speakers.

Banks, a board-certified plastic surgeon serving the Annapolis, Maryland, Baltimore and Washington, D.C., areas, is keynote speaker for the graduate student ceremony Friday, May 8, at 6 p.m. in First Horizon Coliseum at the Greensboro Complex. Read More.

Latifah, a multitalented, award-winning performer, producer and cultural icon, is keynote speaker for both baccalaureate student ceremonies Saturday, May 9.  Read More.

Media interested in covering commencement in person should submit a request, including complete contact information, to jtorok@ncat.edu by 5 p.m. Thursday, April 23.

No requests will be accepted after this deadline.

Credential availability is limited and not all requests will be fulfilled.
Credentials are required for media access during each of the three ceremonies.
No credentials will be available on site.
