College of Engineering Scholarships

Through the generosity of alumni, industry partners, and friends of the college, the College of Engineering offers scholarships to talented current engineering students enrolled at North Carolina A&T State University. This is a competitive scholarship program with scholarships awarded for merit, leadership, need, and a variety of other criteria.
Current Undergraduate Engineering Students
The scholarship application for current COE students opens on April 15. COE Scholarships are awarded on an academic year basis. If you think you may need scholarship funds for anytime during the following academic year you should apply. Scholarship application information is sent via email to students NCAT email address.
Some of the College’s premier scholarship programs include:

Riversville Scholars

The Riversville Foundation supports a variety of philanthropic endeavors, including academic scholarships. Riversville Scholars are supported through scholarships, research and co-curricular activities. Financial scholarships are awarded on an annual basis to qualified and deserving students. The private foundation was formed in 2001.

Tomé Scholar Program

The Tomé Scholar Program supports students through education, research and co-curricular activities. Through this program students have opportunities to create innovative and collaborative solutions that address the evolving societal and economic challenges of North Carolina, the nation and the world.
Once named a Tomé Scholar, students will receive a scholarship for up to 100% of tuition reimbursement, as well as funding for one or more unique experiences. Following graduation, Tomé Scholars will become a Tomé Fellow, a community of Tomé Scholars.

Clark Engineering Scholars

As part of a commitment to building the pipeline of future engineers, the Clark Foundation has partnered the College of Engineering to financially supporting students who exhibit strong academic and leadership potential. Each student selected as a Clark Engineering Scholar is awarded an annual need- and merit-based scholarship, renewable each year based on academic performance and participation in the program.
Incoming Freshman Engineering Students

Department Scholarships 

Departments within the College of Engineering may offer scholarships to qualified students. Some of these scholarships are for one year, while others are renewable up to a total of four years, provided the student maintains the grade point average that is designated within the scholarship requirements, and registers for at least 12 credits per semester towards an engineering degree. Information provided as part of the NCA&T admission application may be used to make the selections for scholarships. For additional information please contact your specific department.
