College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences

Animal Science Clubs and Organizations

The Animal Sciences and Pre-Veterinary Medicine Club (ASPVC) maintains a large membership, and is among the oldest organizations that originated in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. It was started in 1949 by students and faculty interested in promoting the livestock and poultry industry within the region.

This club provides interactions among faculty, students and the agricultural industry. It is also very active in community service, experiential learning, and in promoting scholarship, animal welfare and leadership development among its members.

Students are also encouraged to get involved with many of the other organizations and honor societies that are popular with students in the Department of Animal Sciences.
