The Pre Veterinary Medical Association

The Pre Veterinary Medical Association at North Carolina A&T State University is one of the oldest organizations within the CAES. Commonly referred to as the Pre-Vet Club, this student organization drive to acquaint students with the veterinary medical field. Their goal is to promote interest in the science of veterinary medicine from research to ensuring the health and care of all animal species. Pre Vet encourages scholarship, service to the local and state communities, and community awareness as it pertains to animal health and welfare. This organization promotes communication between students, CAES faculty, and veterinary industry professionals. They are proudly a student member of the American Pre-Veterinary Medical Association.

The Poultry Science Club

The Poultry Science Club at NC A&T State University is the first of its kind at an HBCU. The purpose of this organization is to expose students to various technical skills and career opportunities that are relevant to the poultry industry. In this regard, club members will be educated about different aspects of commercial poultry production, receive relevant hands-on training for future careers in the poultry/animal health and welfare industries, and participate in field trips. The club will also promote camaraderie and networking amongst members. WE ARE MORE THAN CHICKEN!
