CAES 1890 Agricultural Scholars Program

The College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences 1890 Agricultural Scholars Program recruits, mentors and trains undergraduate students pursuing studies in the food and agricultural sciences. The scholarship encourages outstanding students to pursue and complete baccalaureate degrees in the food and agricultural sciences that will lead to a highly skilled food and agricultural systems work force.

The program is only open to currently enrolled CAES undergraduate students who demonstrate exemplary leadership traits and a commitment to community service, and will be continuing undergraduate students in the 2026 – 2027 Academic Year. The scholarship is highly competitive for students with a minimum G.P.A. of 3.2 or higher and provides a one-time $3,000 tuition payment for students pursuing majors in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at N.C. A&T.
