Secure Smart Hospital Project
This is an ambitious initiative designed to enhance healthcare delivery and efficiency in both urban and, where feasible, rural settings through the integration of advanced technologies. This effort focuses on developing accurate wearable devices, expanding telemedicine capabilities, leveraging data analytics to uncover health trends and inform public health strategies, and creating intelligent medical devices that support a more patient-centered and equitable healthcare system. Central to this project is the newly established state-of-the-art facility equipped with smart hospital beds, facial expression recognition systems, sensor mats, cameras, and a comprehensive network of monitoring tools supported by powerful computing resources, including high-performance computing facilities. The lab is also pioneering the use of the metaverse for medical education, healthcare training, and patient communication, seamlessly integrating virtual environments to improve learning outcomes and patient engagement.
