COAACH Events
Current Events
COAACH’s ongoing events provide opportunities for community engagement, learning, and support. These include our Caregiver Education Series, support groups, and community wellness activities. For more information on any of the events here, call 336-285-3522.
- Purple Sunday: a faith-based health awareness initiative focused on Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, particularly within African American congregations.
- Lunch and Learns: an informal yet educational event format where participants gather during lunchtime to learn about a specific topic, often over a provided meal. It’s a great way to promote ongoing education and community engagement in a relaxed setting.
- Caregiver support series: a structured program designed to educate, empower, and encourage caregivers—especially those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s, dementia, chronic illness, or disabilities. It provides practical tools, emotional support, and community connection through workshops, discussions, and resource sharing.
