At North Carolina A&T, Threat Assessment and Management (TAM) categorizes, and addresses, concerning behavior across two-tiers. Tier One, or Aggie Campus Assessment Response and Evaluation (CARE), focuses on students whose behavior is worrisome and may escalate if left unaddressed but does not indicate a direct threat of harm to North Carolina A&T. This tier also includes engagement with students experiencing physical, emotional, situational, or psychological distress.
This level includes a multidisciplinary team that is composed of professionals from key campus departments who collaborate with TAM staff and serve as a proactive resource for early intervention and support.
Our vision is to foster a safe community through proactive outreach and compassionate engagement. We strive to ensure that emerging concerns are addressed before they escalate, contributing to a campus culture grounded in care, understanding, and resilience.
