HBCU Classic Welcome Event
Hosted by the NBA and Footlocker
Time: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM PST
Location: Foot Locker Pop-Up Store at L.A. Live
Overview: In partnership with Foot Locker, the NBA will host a welcome event for the men’s basketball teams, bands, cheer teams, alumni, parents, and supporters from Hampton University and North Carolina A&T State University, as well as the broader community. This event will celebrate each institution, build excitement for the weekend, and offer guests a unique shopping experience. Musical performances will be curated by both universities’ bands along with a DJ. Guests will be welcomed by NBA Legends, NBA and partner executives, athletic directors, and school coaches.

Overview: Start your All-Star Weekend with connection and camaraderie at the Aggie Pride Breakfast at the Hyatt Regency LAX. This informal gathering invites alumni to enjoy breakfast at their leisure while engaging in meaningful conversation with university administrators, alumni chapter and affinity group leaders, and fellow Aggies. Designed as a relaxed touchpoint for networking and community-building, the breakfast offers an opportunity to learn about university initiatives, strengthen relationships, and celebrate the shared spirit of Aggie Pride.
HBCU Classic Pre-Game Alumni & Friends Mixer

Overview: North Carolina A&T State University invites you to an exclusive pre-game mixer at the Hyatt Regency, held in celebration of the NBA HBCU Classic. This premier gathering will unite alumni, donors, supporters, and friends of Aggie Athletics for a reception as well as an afternoon of connection and anticipation ahead of tip-off. Join us as we set the stage for game night by cultivating momentum, strengthening the Aggie network, and championing our student-athletes and the proud legacy of A&T excellence. Guests will also have the opportunity to support All Aggies, All In, the University’s first comprehensive, university-wide fundraising campaign dedicated to Athletics. Guests will enjoy purposeful fellowship, good food, impactful networking, and spirited engagement as we prepare for an unforgettable matchup on the court.

Overview: The NBA will host the 5th annual NBA HBCU Classic featuring Hampton University vs. North Carolina A&T State University at the Kia Forum. Student-athletes, coaching staff, alumni and friends will enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience on and off the court. Fans can enjoy performances by the Hampton University and North Carolina A&T State University pep bands throughout the game.

Overview: North Carolina A&T State University proudly presents a signature fundraising celebration in support of Aggie Athletics. This dynamic and high-spirited event brings
together alumni, donors, friends, and supporters for an evening that seamlessly blends style, purpose, and Aggie Pride. Guests are invited to pair their favorite sneakers with cocktail or semi-formal attire while enjoying a lavish reception, cash bar, music by DJ Mack, a spirited auction and meaningful connections. Just as every championship program is built on a strong foundation, this event plays a vital role in strengthening Aggie Athletics. Proceeds directly support All Aggies, All In campaign to elevate the student-athlete experience. Funds raised will advance scholarships, enhance program resources, and provide critical support that positions NC A&T Athletics for sustained excellence, both on and off the court.

Overview: The Gathering Spot will host an HBCU Watch Party during NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles, bringing together alumni, donors, students, and supporters from across the HBCU community. North Carolina A&T State University will join fellow institutions for an evening filled with energy, fellowship, and school pride as guests enjoy a lively game-day atmosphere and celebrate one of the NBA’s premier showcase events. For Aggies, this gathering also offers a meaningful engagement opportunity supporting the All Aggies All In campaign, reinforcing NC A&T’s commitment to strengthening the student-athlete experience through essential resources, scholarships, and program support.
