Over the past 15 years, North Carolina A&T State University set its sights on preeminence, working diligtently to create a new model of what a 21st century, doctoral research land-grant historically Black university can be. As America's largest HBCU now for 11 consecutive years, its most affordable doctoral research university and the No. 1 public HBCU, as determined by the Wall Street Journal/College Pulse, we are raising the bar, with a goal now to be recognized widely as an exponential university.
As we begin this journey, it is critical to acknowledge where we've been, agree on where we're going and identify what we do well and what we need to change. This fall, we have launched an effort to do exactly that -- the Chancellor's Listening Sessions. This fall, Chancellor's Listening Sessions are being convened with students, online learners, graduate students, faculty, deans, staff and administrators, alumni, advisory boards and elected officials. Comments, suggestions, criticisms and praise will be collected at each session; top findings will be shared with A&T leadership and reported out to you on this site. Check back as the sessions play out this fall to get a glimpse of new ideas as they surface and new objectives as they take shape.
