COAACH: The Center for Outreach in Active Aging & Community Health

The Center for Outreach in Active Aging and Community Health (COAACH) fosters and leads research and community outreach focused on the aging process and accompanying challenges facing seniors.

A North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University center of excellence, COAACH has developed a strong record over the years for leadership in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia as they manifest in African Americans, who are two to three times more likely to develop those illnesses than their peers. COAACH researchers have also contributed to longitudinal

research of various illnesses experienced by older men in studies funded by the National Institutes of Health.

Located in the heart of North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad region, COAACH offers a full schedule of programming for caregivers and seniors focused on healthy living. COAACH also supports aging communities as members deal with the complexities of aging.

COAACH is here to help make our senior years as healthy, fulfilling and enjoyable as possible.

Join us on that journey.
