The 2+2 Program

Do you have two year degree in an agricultural related discipline and desire to pursue a four year degree? If so, the 2+2 Online Program In Agricultural Education at NC A&T State University is for you.

The program is designed to allow individuals with two year degrees from select North Carolina Community College Agricultural Programs, and the Agricultural Institute at NC State University, to transfer their associate ‘s degree in an agricultural related discipline into the Bachelor of Science In Agricultural Education at NC A&T State University. The program can be completed totally online or through campus based offerings.

The degree program is comprised of two study tracks based upon a student’s interest. The Agricultural Education (Secondary Education) Track is designed for individuals who have an interest in becoming secondary agricultural educators in the public school system. The Agricultural Education (Professional Service) Track is designed for individuals who have more of an interest in government, agribusiness, international agriculture, and cooperative extension careers. Individuals who pursue the Agricultural Education (Secondary Education) track are eligible for licensure from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction in addition to careers in agribusiness and government.

Individuals who possess associate degrees in agricultural related majors from accredited institutions not listed as a transfer partners within the 2+2 program may apply and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
