Honors Living Learning Community

The Honors Living Learning Community (LLC) enables students admitted to the Honors College the opportunity to make life long connections—both to their deep intellectual curiosity as well as to peers and faculty—as they enjoy seminar-style classes, experiential learning, and a creative community. The Honors LLC is located in the Aggie Village where students are housed in McNeill Hall and Blair Hall and motivates students eager to pursue their academic interests while also cultivating practical skills. Upperclassmen have the option to select designated apartment style housing in Aggie Pointe.

The Honors Living Learning Community offers its members opportunities to meet like-minded students and engage more deeply with the Honors College; however, active Honors students live all over campus as well as off campus.

The purpose for the Honors Living Learning Community is twofold:

  • To promote undergraduate students with a supportive living environment and success at North Carolina A&T State University by developing a Living Learning Community that embeds an array of activities and social supports for first-year full-time new freshmen.
  • To focus on maintaining a sense of wellness: personal, emotional, physical and social. These areas will be incorporated into the monthly enrichment activities. The activities will be provided as tailored supports needed by all students to help them achieve a successful transition to college. The Honors LLC will promote a sense of belonging and personal growth.

Applying to the Honors Living Learning Community

Students who are interested in being apart of the Honors Living Learning Community, must first apply to the Honors College, submit a housing application and pay the non-refundable application fee. Students do not apply to the Honors Living Learning Community separately. Once a student receives notification they have been admitted into the Honors College, members will automatically be eligible for the Honors Living Learning Community as space permits. The Honors College will disclose a list of students to the Housing and Residence Life office each academic year and their office will provide notification to assist with understanding the assignment process. Any specific questions about housing should be directed to Housing and Residence Life at (336) 334-7708.
