Bio

Dr. Arvind Chandrasekaran joined NC A&T in 2018. He is an Associate Professor in the department of Bioengineering, and the Principal Investigator of the Bioinspired Microenineering (BIOME) Laboratory. His lab is currently supported by funds from NIH, NC TraCS, and US DoD. He has supervised 5 successful MS thesis students till date.

Dr. Chandrasekaran completed his his post-doctoral training at McGill University, Canada (2016-2018) and Massachusetts General Hospital - Harvard Med school (2014-2016). He has industrial experience working in a Micro-Nanotech industry in Calgary, Canada (2011-2014), after completing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Concordia University, Montreal in 2011.

Research Interests

Dr. Chandrasekaran's current areas of research include:
Neutrophils Bioengineering, Neutrophil Extracellular Traps, Tumor Immunotherapeutics, Organ-on-Chip Engineering, Mechanobiology, Biomicrofluidics.
