Joint Greek Council

The Joint Greek Council (JGC) is the governing council that works in conjunction with the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Engagement to promote, govern, and advance the fraternities and sororities chartered at North Carolina A&T State University.

The purpose of JGC is to promote a unity of thought and actions as it relates to the conduct of collegiate fraternities and sororities and to consider problems of common interest to its member organizations. The group also aids in the development of responsible citizens who are dedicated to lifelong membership and community involvement through our commitment to academic excellence, positive relationships, civic engagement, and leadership.

In keeping with the established purpose, the Joint Greek Council and its NPHC/GLC affiliated member organizations:

  1. Maintain a high level of inter-fraternal relationships within the university.
  2. Encourage student leadership and personal development.
  3. Cooperate with university officials in the effort to maintain high social and educational standards throughout the university
  4. Serve as a forum for the discussion of questions of mutual interest and concern to the university, fraternities, and sororities.
