NC A&T Study Abroad Programs
The Office of International Programs (OIP) provides opportunities for N.C. A&T students to spend a semester, summer, or academic year studying in another country.

How Do I Pay for Study Abroad?
Good news! Students can use their financial aid package (loans, grants) and scholarships to finance their experience overseas. Students are encouraged to apply for the OIP Travel Grant and to apply for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. What are the eligibility requirements?
- Students can study abroad as a sophomore, junior, or first semester senior. Students cannot study abroad their last semester at N.C. A&T or as a second-semester freshman.
- Graduate students are also eligible to study abroad,
- Transfer students must earn an N.C. A&T GPA before studying abroad.
- Students must have a 2.75 cumulative GPA for semester programs, and a 2.5 cumulative GPA for summer programs.
Can Any Major Study Abroad?
Yes! OIP has sent students abroad from each of the eight schools or colleges at N.C. A&T.
But I’m Not Fluent in A Second Language? Is Study Abroad for Me?
Study abroad is for every student! There are many options where you can study in English – even in countries where English is not the native language. In addition, many Aggies study abroad to learn a foreign language.
