Vaccinations for Study Abroad

It is essential to review the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) travel guidance for your destination. This guidance provides important information on required and recommended vaccinations based on your travel plans. You can access the relevant travel destination information here.

Please note that students are responsible for covering the costs of all required or recommended vaccinations. It is crucial to plan ahead and ensure that you are up to date on all necessary immunizations before your departure.

If you have any questions regarding vaccinations or travel health requirements, please reach out to your Study Abroad Provider or the Office of International Affairs for assistance. Your health and safety are our top priorities as you embark on your international journey!

Student traveler's are required to complete the following steps:
  • Complete the Insurance Roster Form and the Insurance Transmittal Form.
  • Submit payment along with the Insurance Transmittal Form to the Office of the Treasurer (First floor of the Dowdy Building). Online payment is not available at this time.
  • After receiving your receipt, upload proof of payment and the Insurance Transmittal Form in the OIA Travel Registry in the designated upload section. The OIA will enroll travelers in the GeoBlue International Travel Health Insurance within 72 hours.
  • Students can access the required forms for international travel here. These forms must be completed and uploaded as part of the OIA Travel Registry process.
All travelers are required to purchase and enroll in GeoBlue International Travel Health Insurance, regardless of whether insurance is provided by their travel provider.
