Welcome Week

WELCOME WEEK is the official kickoff to the academic year at North Carolina A&T State University, featuring events to get you ready for an amazing year. Welcome Week is designed to create a meaningful experience for you that will:
  • Begin to build a sense of community;
  • Assist you in adjusting to the learning environment;
  • Provide you an opportunity to have and maintain meaningful relationships with students; and
  • Allow you to navigate the campus while discovering and accessing the multitude of resources.

HEALTHY BROTHERS HEALTHY SISTERS WORKSHOP
Alvin V. Blount Jr. Student Health Center - Health Education Department

Healthy Brothers Healthy Sisters (HBHS) has been charged with conducting a health-centric and collegiately tailored workshop for all new incoming freshmen. This eight-hour workshop was developed in partnership with members of the CDC (Atlanta Office) and currently covers a curriculum of roughly nine sections ranging from subjects such as consent, sexual health and wellness, healthy relationships, LGBTQ+ inclusion, effective communication, Title IX and many others.

Aggies En Blanc Is an elegant evening where new students come together dressed in all
white to create unforgettable memories as we welcome you into the Aggie family. This
event features live music, the opportunity to connect with fellow students in a unique and

The conversation will feature HBCU alumni, student activists, and community leaders who will share their insights and experiences on how HBCUs have historically been at the forefront of social change and how today’s students can continue this legacy through active participation in the electoral process. Panelists include Ethan McLean, current student; Delaney Vandergrift, former SGA president and alumni activist; Kay Brown, alumni community leader; and Winston Williams, moderator.
