Library Upgrades The Online Search Platform
Library Services has launched a new and improved online library search platform. F.D. Bluford Library joins other North Carolina public universities in this transition to foster greater UNC library collaborations, improve services for faculty, staff and students, and provide opportunities for new library services.

What does this change mean for you right now?
- The library website, the initial search box and library accounts will remain the same.
- The new search platform provides superior functionality, usability, accessibility and power for finding and accessing library resources and licensed database content.
- Resources and collections from seven UNC peer libraries will be viewable.
What does this change mean for you in the future?
- This update will enable the library to develop additional, more robust services, including a mobile app, easier checkout at other libraries, and a larger interlibrary loan system.
- Library Services now has the technology infrastructure to establish partnerships with even more libraries across North Carolina and the country. This means even more available library resources and materials, potentially at a reduced cost.
Although this new system is designed to be user-friendly, library faculty and staff are available to ensure a smooth transition. You can get help with the new system via our chat service, by visiting the library, or by reaching out to the librarian assigned to your college. You can also call the library at 336.285.4185 or 888.246.1272 for help.
Library Services is very excited about this new platform and the possibility for exponential contributions to advancing research, learning and teaching!
We look forward to working with you.
