Bio
Assistant Professor at North Carolina A&T State University. I am both a researcher and a teacher interested in various aspects of management. In terms of research, I focus on the interface between leaders, teams, and unit human capital resources. Specifically, I often think and ask questions about how leaders can strategically build their unit's human capital resource portfolio. In terms of teaching, I focus on a broader set of topics, such as leadership, teams, motivation, personality, learning, stress, decision-making, and HR management, among other topics.
Research Interests
In simple terms, I am interested in leading teams and I like to consider this research through various lenses. For instance, while foundational work in leadership and teams research is vital, there are growing integrative opportunities through connecting these insights with those of broader organizational systems responsible for strategy implementation and human resource management. At the center of all this work are leaders, and those are the organizational actors about which I am most curious.
