Bio

Carlos Grooms is the Research and Instruction Librarian at F. D. Bluford Library at North Carolina A&T State University. He serves as a liaison to the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and a Center for Excellence. Carlos holds a Master's in Library Science from North Carolina Central University and a B.A. in History from Winston Salem State University. Prior to his current position, Carlos was the Student Success Librarian at Elon University, where he focused on developing and supporting library instruction and engagement initiatives, particularly for underrepresented student populations. At F.D. Bluford Library, Carlos is an integral member of the Research, Instructional and Engagement Services unit (RIES). His notable work involved researching issues of Redlining in East Greensboro, which earned him the University Award for Community Engagement Research.
