Bio

The overall career goal of Dr. Ofori-Boadu is to utilize her education, training, experience and talents to improve built environments and built environment professionals. Andrea has 20 years of occupational experience in construction technology, and management (industry), teaching, research and service. She has taught and advised over 1,300 undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Built Environment (BLTE) within the College of Science and Technology (CoST) at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCAT). In 2017, Dr. Ofori-Boadu established the REAL Professional Development Network for developing the ethical leadership, networking, and other soft skills of undergraduate students at NCAT. She also serves as mentor to female construction students through the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and this has resulted in 10 scholarships ($15,000) for female construction students.
