World Soil Day celebration

The College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences will host a World Soil Day celebration from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at the University Farm Pavilion, 3020 McConnell Road, Greensboro.

The theme is “Building Healthy Soils for a Sustainable Future” and is offered in collaboration with the Soil Health Institute and National Resources Conservation Service.

The event will include a soil profile demonstration, web soil survey, rainfall simulation, and information about soil nutrients and pH and soil health amendments.
