- Note: Students may be exempt from these tests if they are at least twenty-one years (21) old at the point of matriculation to the University.
- Satisfactory grade point average.
"Although test scores are optional for admission, we strongly recommend submitting your test scores because they are used for other purposes. For example, determining the math level course for your first semester. It is also very critical for majors where math is important to the curriculum such as Business, Engineering and Nursing. Your scores will not be considered for admission, but for matriculation to the university, we suggest submitting them."
- Note: All students must satisfy the University of North Carolina (UNC) minimum admissions requirements to be eligible for admissions.
The aforementioned and subsequent admissions criteria are applied flexibly to assure that individuals with unusual qualifications are not rejected in the admissions process.
