The $16 million new F.D. Bluford Library is dedicated.

The $600,000 Microelectronics Fabrication Laboratory is dedicated.

A&T enrolled a record 7,000 students.
1994
The first PhD candidates in electrical and mechanical engineering were enrolled.
1996
The men's indoor track team is co-winner of the MEAC.
1998
A&T granted its first PhD degrees to Sidney Llewellyn Bryson (electrical engineering), Alfred L. Burress (electrical engineering) and Christopher Grace (mechanical engineering).
1999
Dr. James C. Renick is installed as the ninth chancellor.

A&T held its first winter commencement on Dec. 18.
