Center of Excellence in Cybersecurity Research, Education and Outreach

OVERVIEW 
The Center for Excellence in Cybersecurity Research, Education and Outreach (CREO) is dedicated to advancing initiatives that enhance national security and cybersecurity for individuals, businesses, and critical infrastructure.  By fostering collaborative research, experiential education, and public outreach, CREO brings together a diverse community of stakeholders to apply interdisciplinary and innovative approaches, translating knowledge into actionable solutions for cybersecurity challenges resulting in intellectual property and comercialization.

MISSION

The mission of CREO is to leverage interdisciplinary and inclusive partnerships between NC A&T State University and its stakeholders to advance cybersecurity by:

  • Serving as the academic and research hub for the development of advanced artificial intelligence, machine learning, mathematical and computational techniques.
  • Empowering students, faculty, and community members to engage in interdisciplinary thought leadership in cybersecurity.
  • Evaluating and investigating socioeconomic practices and regulatory and public policy issues related to cybersecurity.
  • Creating approaches to secure valuable assets from cyber threats.
  • Developing intellectual property (IP) and commercialization strategies.
  • Facilitating the creation of startups involving students and faculty.
