2023 CAREER AWARENESS WELLNESS DAY
The North Carolina A&T Wellness Committee is presenting Career Awareness Wellness Day this Friday, Feb. 10 — a day filled with food, fun activities, networking with major employers and professional development.
All activities will be held in the Student Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are free and open to all students and employees. This is part of Aggie Wellness 365, which will include more fun and interactive events Feb. 23 and April 10-11.
The Career Awareness Wellness Day schedule is as follows:
- Falling In Love With Your Career. Enjoy games and activities, giveaways, food, chair massages and more, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Deese Ballroom. Activities will include “Save the Titanic,” a virtual leadership development opportunity for N.C. A&T managers, from 1 to 4 p.m. Register for that program, presented by the Center for Leadership & Organization Excellence, at learn.ncat.edu.
- Career Awareness Wellness Day from the Office of Career Services. This event will allow students to meet and engage with employers in an informal, relaxed way. Our goal is to prepare all Aggies for the upcoming Career Fair and recruiting season in a fun, enjoyable environment that will include photo booths, yoga, guided meditation led by Akoma Wellness, games (spades and Uno tournaments and a scavenger hunt among them), and music from DJ K Grady. Don’t forget the food trucks: Off the Hook and Hickory Tree BBQ will be serving! This event will include a free T-shirt for students who have completed at least 80% of their Handshake Profile along with free lunch at designated food trucks. The fun is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on floors 1, 2 and 3 of the Student Center.
2023 SPRING CAREER FAIRS
The time for the spring career fair is here, both in-person and virtual.
This year, the career fair has been divided into two separate events by majors, focusing on STEM/business and non-STEM students.
H.E.A.T. & Social Science Career Fairs
More than 90 employers will attend to recruit students for the humanities, education, arts, undecided and social sciences majors. This fair will be Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Deese Ballroom at the Student Center and Thursday Feb. 16, from noon to 5 p.m. via Handshake. For the virtual career fair via Handshake, sign up to meet with recruiters’ 1-on-1 or group session based on your class schedule.
STEM & Business Career Fairs
More than 150 employers will attend to recruit students with majors related to science, technology, engineering, math and business. This fair will be Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Deese Ballroom at the Student Center and at the Alumni-Foundation Event Center and Thursday, Feb. 23, from noon to 5 p.m. via Handshake. For the virtual career fair via Handshake, sign up to meet with recruiters’ 1-on-1 or group session based on your class schedule.
These are great events for students to network with employers as well as explore various internship, co-op and employment opportunities.
Students who want to participate in the virtual career fairs must register first via Handshake and select a 1-on-1 or group session.

Some of our Presidential sponsors, for example, include Altria, American Airlines, Bank of America, Corning, Nike, Starbucks and Wells Fargo.
