Classroom Technology
Classroom technology is available to capture teaching in on-campus courses to support students participating virtually, and to record teaching for those participating asynchronously. Many classrooms are equipped with a camera and microphone to support synchronous or asynchronous learning. Some classrooms may also include a document camera. Technology assessments will be completed prior to each semester to ensure that equipment is installed and functioning in all classrooms to support any blended learning needs.
Faculty members should continue to use Zoom, Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, or Mediasite to record their classes. All faculty must use Blackboard as the learning management system to house course content. Videos should be housed in Mediasite. Graduate students and Digital Faculty Fellows are available to assist faculty as needed. Cameras and headsets are available for checkout during the semester.
