Endorsed Extraordinary Opportunities
The below externally funded extraordinary opportunities (EOs) require an institutional selection process, or endorsement, from the university through NCAT EO prior to national deadlines.
Therefore, campus/endorsement applications for these EOs should be prepared as though they are the final/national application.

- WHI HBCU Scholar Recognition Program: March 4
- ESU Luard Morse Scholarship: October 1
- Astronaut Scholarship: January 21
- Goldwater Scholarship: November 12
- Udall Scholarship: January 21
- Beinecke Scholarship (NEW for N.C. A&T): January 21
- Truman Scholarship: October 29
- Fulbright Program grant: August 13, 2024 (candidates who miss this deadline should still reach out)
- Gaither Junior Fellows Program: November 19
- Marshall Scholarship: September 3
- Mitchell Scholarship: on hiatus
- Rhodes Scholarship: September 3
- Boren Scholarship/NSEP: October 1 (if seeking campus representative evaluation form)
- Gilman International Program (requires certifications, not endorsement): apply by Oct. 10 and Mar. 6
- Gilman-McCain Scholarship (part of the Gilman International Program): apply by Aug. 1 and Oct. 10
- Boren Fellowship/NSEP: October 1 (if seeking campus representative evaluation form)
- UNCF Achievement Capstone Scholarship: November 26 (if seeking institutional nomination)
