It also allows an employee to rollover benefits from one employer group health insurance plan to another without significant loss of benefits.
Notice of Privacy Practices
The Alvin V. Blount Jr. Student Health Center is governed by HIPAA regulations and is required by federal law to maintain the privacy of protected health information (PHI). Additionally, the Student Health Center is required to provide notice of our obligation to protect (PHI) and to explain privacy practices. The privacy and confidentiality of your personal and health information are of paramount importance to us.

The Alvin V Blount Jr. Student Health Center is required to obtain written authorization to release Protected Health Information (PHI) for purposes not directly related to treatment, payment, or health care operations. The Student Health Center will comply with all HIPAA laws and regulations which represent the highest standard available for protection of your confidential health information.
